Harmonics?
[edit]So basically, is the cause of these discrete energy values the fact that a "chamber" restricting say an electron's path, causing it to only change its energy (kinetic energy?) when its vibration frequency is the same as any of the harmonics existing in the "chamber"? Since it is a standing wave, and standing waves are about resonance, could we say that the discrete energy values are determined by hitting the resonant harmonics of the medium? --Nabo0o (talk) 18:07, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
